SewRob started in 2000 by owner, Rob Nikpour when he branched off of the family business. He worked out of a small studio in Ardmore, where his tailoring skills and personable customer service allowed him to grow and excel. He met with most of his clients on a house-call basis. In order to spread the word of his new business, Rob approached local retailers and offered his services to their clients. Since he didn’t participate in any advertising, all of his customers were brought by word of mouth, one satisfied customer to another.
As the need for a fitting location grew, Rob moved to an office space where clients could make fitting appointments for tailoring. In this location, he was able to expand his staff and start to make SewRob a household name.
In 2004, SewRob moved to Wynnewood, in the Whole Foods Plaza, which provided a store front in a busy shopping center. Currently, SewRob has grown to house a boutique and production department on the Main Line, with a full staff who services more than 13,000 clients. We run monthly tailoring promotions in The Main Line Times and Suburban Main Line. We also work with local schools to develop uniforms and offer prom tailoring promotions. Our production department has helped local designers get their start and expand their product lines. We also have partnered up with local business owners to offer a wider range of services to our mutual clients.
