SewRob Policies

Booking Your Appointment

  • Appointments Are Preferred. Walk-Ins Are Welcome But Must Yield To Appointments.
  • Please Book Appointments Using Our Online Scheduling System.
  1. Choose one of three Locations: King of Prussia, Wayne, or Wynnewood.
  2. Choose the Appointment Category. Multiple bookings can be made in order to accommodate the number and type of garments. Exclusivity cannot be offered.
  3. Choose Staff Selection. Note that not all staff have full category availability.
  4. Choose Date and Time Slot.
  5. Provide Your Information. Full name, email address, phone number, and wear date.
  6. Provide a brief description of the garment and the work you would like to have done in the “Important Information for Your Pinning Specialist” box.
  7. Wait for a confirmation email and/or text from SewRob. We will respond within one business day.

Preparing for Your Appointment

  • Garments are required to be cleaned prior to fitting or repair to ensure proper outcomes.
  • Bring all accompanying accessories to complete your outfit such as shoes and undergarments to ensure a proper fit.
  • Our tailoring process follows a top-to-bottom method:
  • We start from the shoulder and work down to the hem.
  • We break down areas of work from upper body, hip, and hem.
  • Not All areas requiring work may be addressed in one fitting. A follow up fitting may be required.

Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are dictated by volume and are conditional and seasonal.
Express specific wear dates, to ensure we can accommodate your deadline.

  • Single item with a single operation: 3 – 4 Days.
  • Three to six items: Basic taper and/or hem work: 2 weeks.
  • Six to ten basic items or three to six complex items: 3 – 4 weeks.
  • Gown needing upper body work only: 3 – 4 weeks, fitting required.
  • Gown needing hem work: 4 – 5 weeks. Additional fitting required.
  • Gown needing body AND hem: 6 – 8 weeks. 1 – 3 fittings required.
  • Orders requiring cleaning before work: 5 – 7 weeks.
  • Specialty fabric orders: 7 – 9 weeks. Swatching required.
  • Partial custom work: 7 – 10 weeks. 1 – 2 fittings required.
  • Full custom work: 6 – 9+ Months. 1 – 4 fittings required.
  • Wedding gown: 10 weeks. 3 minimum fittings required.

Expedited Order Fees (Per Item, Based on Complexity):

10 – 14 Days:$35 – $45
7 – 9 Days:$45 – $65
1 – 6 Days:$65 – $100
Gowns:$150 – $350

Estimates & Consultation

  • Based on volume and availability, on the spot quotes may not be possible.
  • If you require a quote, please request one before your fitting. 
  • Garments require a construction examination prior to providing a quote.
  • Repair orders are subject to assessment fees.
  • A consultation fee may apply if your garment requires design changes, custom requests, or guidance from our tailoring specialists.
  • Wedding consultations require a fee and a deposit to begin work.
  • Special occasion garments and multi-fitting orders are handled on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Preparation for Your Fitting:

  • Exact undergarments and shoes must be worn for fittings.
  • If your outfit requires layering with another garment, please bring that as well.
  • All garments must be cleaned before fitting to ensure the best results.
  • Tailoring follows a top-to-bottom process—starting from the shoulders down to the hem.

Order Processing

  • After fitting / drop off, your order goes through processing. 
  • A follow up fitting / appointment may be required.
  • A detailed invoice may be emailed, and Approval may be required.
  • If a processed invoice is cancelled, there will be a cancellation fee per item. Pins or tailoring marks will be removed to prevent fabric damage.
  • Due dates are issued, but we will send an email confirmation when your order is ready.
Casual Wear:$15
Formal Wear:$30
Wedding Gowns:$50
If additional work beyond $50 is needed, we will notify you before proceeding.

Order Completion & Pickup

  • Once you have received an email confirmation, your order is ready for pickup.
  • If you have a follow-up fitting or pick up appointment scheduled, the appointment reminder serves as your completion notification.
  • We encourage you to try on your completed order at home.
  • In-store try-on is possible, but a pick up appointment is recommended as availability is limited.

Payment

  • All orders must be paid in full at time of pick up.
  • Pay-as-you-go orders that require multiple fittings require payment at each fitting.
  • Accepted payment methods are:
  • Cash or Check (payable to SewRob)
  • Credit or Debit (3% convenience fee applies)
  • Phone payments (1.5% convenience fee applies)
  • American Express is not accepted

Warranty & Returns

SewRob Guarantee:

  • We warranty our workmanship for 21 days from the date of notification of completion on specified area of work.
  • If additional adjustments are needed:
  • Another appointment with your tailoring specialist is required.
  • We allow up to two do-over attempts.
  • If a third attempt is required, standard tailoring fees will apply.
  • SewRob is not financially responsible for additional tailoring required due to changes in physique (e.g., weight gain/loss, pregnancy, surgery, medications, etc.) once work has begun.

Retail Return:

  • Retail items purchased at full price may be returned within 21 days, provided they are in original condition with tags attached.
  • Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned.

Unclaimed Orders & Storage Fees:

  • Orders will be stored for 30 days at no charge.
  • After 30 days, there will be a monthly storage fee applied.
  • Orders stored for more than 90 days may be discarded or moved to a storage facility.
