Do you have a sweater or scarf that has holes, pulls, pilling, or moth damage?
Do you want to store your winter sweaters while protecting them from damage?
Do you want to tailor your favorite sweater but aren’t sure it can be done?
Give them a fighting chance! We specialize in all types of knit repair. We can stop pulls in the finest of yarns, clean up even the pilliest sweaters, and fill in holes eaten away by those pesky moths! No matter how thin, heavy, fuzzy, or chunky your knit is, SewRob will come to its rescue. We can repair one or multiple holes in wool, silk, cotton, or blended knits. Whether it is your favorite scarf, gloves, cardigan, or dress, your items will go through a rigorous inspection to make sure we have repaired all of the damage. We use a very tedious and meticulous hand method to preserve the original yarn and design of the knit. Don’t let moths or chunky jewelry win the battle against your knits anymore.
If your knits are threatened by moths, we recommend that they be dry cleaned first before any repair is done. More damage can develop if the garment is not properly cleaned. SewRob does not dry clean, but we have partnered with McCormick Brothers to satisfy all of your cleaning needs. After the garment is repaired, we can provide protective moth bags for storage upon request.
SewRob can also tailor all of your favorite knits to fit perfectly. We can shorten sweater sleeves, skirt hems, and even turtlenecks. We also can completely size down your knits, or size them up with our unique blocking process.
You can always send us your knits for an estimate. SewRob will be as straight forward as possible about the price of repair. If the damage is extensive, we can help determine the cost of repair verses the cost of replacement. It is difficult to send images of knit damage for an estimate because it requires a trained hand and distinguishing eye to determine the time/method involved to repair. But you can always send us the garment, along with our Repair Worksheet and corresponding Repair Spec Sheet.
